ERC Monthly Meeting for Fire & Ice via ZOOM

The
Edmonton Rocketry Club is having a monthly meeting over Zoom video
conferencing.
The meeting is free and all ages are welcome!
Come
and join us and meet other people interested in model rockets, join in our
group discussion on anything rocket related. This meeting will focus on our upcoming Fire & Ice event on February 20.

General ZOOM Info:
For those of you who have not used ZOOM before, it is very easy to use, and you do not have to create an account for it.
2 EASY STEPS:
- For
Smartphones or Tablets: Download the App called “Zoom Cloud Meetings”.
Clicking on the link below should take you to the app. You don’t need to
“sign in” or “sign up”.
- For Laptops or Computers: Download the “ZOOM Client for Meetings” from here: https://zoom.us/download
Once it’s downloaded and installed, it might not show on your desktop
but it is installed on your computer if you check your programs tab.
Once you click on the meeting link we will post on our website, it will
prompt you to open Zoom as default, click on Zoom. It will then open it
automatically and will ask you to type in your display name.
- We will post the Zoom meeting link and password here closer to the meeting date.
Smartphones
can display 4 participants at a time on a page (swipe left for next
page), tablet 9 participants and computers 12 or more participants.
Those with only a microphone and no camera will still be able to
participate in voice and see those that are in video conferencing.
ERC Fire & Ice 2021 High Power Rocket Launch
Saturday February 20, 2021 @ 9 AM - 5 PM
The
Edmonton Rocketry Club is excited to host Fire & Ice 2021 high power rocket
launch. The launch will be held at Viking AB on Saturday, February 20, 2021
from 09:00 - 17:00.
February 21, 27,or 28th are our backup dates in case of bad weather. We are expecting a
ceiling of 10,000 feet AGL.
The
launch is open to the public and everyone is welcome to attend. There will be
flights with rocket motors sized A - L!
Rockets
L sized - Contact us prior to launch to ensure that we can accommodate your
project.
Everyone wishing to fly rockets
must have a valid CAR/ACF membership card with them. CAR/ACF insurance will be
in effect for CAR/ACF members flying at this event.
Guests who do not have a CAR/ACF membership and want to fly model rockets will
need to purchase a “One-Day-CAR/ACF Membership” at the launch site for $5.00.
This is valid for model rockets only.
Launch Fees: (Please bring exact change)
Adults 18+ flying High Power - $25.00
Adults 18+ flying Models only - $10.00
Juniors flying High Power - $20.00
Juniors (under 18) flying Models only - $5
We
do need volunteers for setup and take down, if you are able to help for setup
please show up at the site at 08:00.
